This looks completely awesome. Whereabouts is this pub? I’ve just moved to the UK from the US and have started having my very first pub experiences and I’m absolutely loving it. Glad to know that there are still pubs out there that do it ‘old school,’ as the kids would say. Thanks for sharing!
I haven’t found, where you are based in the UK on your blog. Hartlepool is not on your average tourist agenda, but it probably should be. It’s in the north-east of England, just south of Newcastle and Sunderland. I don’t know Sunderland, but Newcastle is worth a visit, if only to see the Georgian houses and the bridges. It has a lot more of the former than Bath.
The trouble is that proper pubs are getting hard to find, as too many are full of undrinkable beer and bad food. I’m lucky where I live, but I have several good ones in this part of London, within walking distance of my house.
What this blog will eventually be about I do not know.
But it will be about how I’m coping with the loss of my wife in 2007 and how I manage with being a coeliac and recovering from a stroke. It will be about travel, football, horses, food, dogs, computers and family, that are some of the other things that fill my life.
And hopefully, it will get rid of the lonely times, I still suffer.
